Anonymous, 12th-14th centuries. Travel Icon (Bronze, 49x54 mm, 79.34 g). Four medallions showing four nimbate bearded saints, the first and fourth facing and the second and third turned in three-quarter profile towards each other and holding a scroll in their left hand; all within a bronze frame, with tendrils in between; the lower parts enamalled in blue, orange, white and green. Rev. Blank. A beautifully designed travel icon with lovely colored enamel backgrounds. Very fine.
